What size unit should I rent?We have a great chart to help with that decision. Keep in mind that many times that little extra room is helpful when you need to move things around. Unit size chart

What happens if I move out in the middle of the month?No refunds are given for partial months of unit rental. We prorate on move ins, not move outs.

When is payment for the unit due?Payment for all units are due the 1st of each month. All payments are auto drafted from the credit card on file.

What happens if my items are damaged?Please contact insurance agent to see if goods are covered under homeowners insurance policy. All contents insurance is carried under the tenant.

Does insurance cover my belongings?No. The Lakes Self Storage does not have coverage for your belongings. You will need to contact your personal insurance company to review coverages with them.

Is there electricity inside the unit?No. While the exterior of the units are well lit, there is no electricity to use inside or around the units.

What happens if I miss making my payment?Upon failure of a tenant to pay the rent for the storage space or unit when it becomes due, the owner may, without notice, not less than 5 days after the date the rent is due, deny the tenant access to the personal property location in the self-service storage facility or self-contained storage unit. [Michigan Law - MCL 570.52(1)]
